In January of 2017 the government of Kazakhstan has adopted a new law obliging to register all citizens who live not in the place of their registration. This made a big fuss in the service centres of the registration. Thousands of people stood in huge queues. For me these people lines become a part of Somewhere in the Great Steppe project.
